On draft at Toronado, SF. This had a much sweeter aroma and flavor than the other double ipa that my brother and I had. (which were Pliny the Elder and Hop Stoopid). A big big flavor, sweet and more malty than the others. It’s likely that my review of this beer is tainted from tasting it after Pliny. I would really like to drink this again for fresh opinion.

Hazy orange colored brew. Nice fruity aroma. Nice hopbitterness. Fruity.

Jul 17, 2008 On tap at Toronado. Poured a cloudy amber orange, with a light head. Nose of sweet citrus hops and malt. Very nice. Taste was very hoppy, more citrus & grapefruit. Body was full, mouth was sticky. An excellent IIPA with a good malt balance.

Jun 8, 2008 On tap at the Toronado. Slightly hazy orange with fine head. Acidic, somewhat cheesy hops aroma, peachy. Heavy, dusty, tea-malty flavor; rough, dank hoppiness, weedy and sprucy hops flavor. Bitter, obviously.
ABUSEDGOAT (1882), California, USA
Apr 2, 2008 Amber orange colored. Aroma is rich grapefruit and citrus. Medium to full body, big bitter/dry finish. Fairly typical, but well made.
