3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
650 ml bomber from bev4ess. Pours a translucent brass color with a small white head that has minimal retention. The aroma is big and bold with lots of citrusy goodness (oranges in particular) and a touch of pine. The flavor, like the aroma, is a blast of bitter hops featuring oranges, grapefruit and pine. The malt base is almost invisible with just a touch of barley showing through, this makes for a very clean quaff. The palate is silky smooth with lively carbonation. Finishes long, dry and bitter. Overall: I found the bitterness of this just a bit harsh and over-the-top, otherwise a very decent IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The low fill 22oz bomber pours with a crystal clear gold body that supports a light tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up some lime and lemon grass and then malt sweetened mango. The taste begins with grapefruit, some lime and sweet malts. As the hops become more bitter and resiny a nice mango tropical fruitiness shoulders its way into the picture. This is on the bitter side even for the style but Iím enjoying every bold IBU.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Ehh.. buttery scent. Looks like a decent IPA with a good head. First sip reveals a lack of any imagination, no hop expression, just some slight bitterness coupled with some caramel. Not very good. In fact, its bad. Buttery caramel mingles with some sharp points of pine here and there, but in the end the caramel sweetness wins. Not good at all. Scroll past.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to glass. Pours a very clear golden color with a thick creamy off-white head. Aroma is mostly grassy hops with a hint of light malt sweetness. Flavor is moderately bitter, without much character. Light to medium body with a lingering bitterness. Probably sat on my shelf too long before cracking it. But decent IPA overall. Nothing special.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
S: Vicious grapfruit, lemon peel, and pine along with some bready malt and caramel malt. P: Golend amber with a thin frosty white head. T: Some bitter grapfruit right upfront, but it turns malty sweet rather fast with some pine towards the finish. M: Light, somewhat sticky, with no bitterness towards the end. The malty and pine flavor linger for a long aftertaste. O: Glad to see this brewery hitting up LA, although this beer isnt the best thing they got. Although, for 4.33 a bomber, I may revisit this one.

Draft at the brewery. Clear orange pour with a white head. Caramel malt, piney hops, a bit stale, sweetness, and mild grapefruit. Not the best, I liked their pale ale better.
