Bomber - medium gold pour with an average head and lacing. Hoppy grapefruit aroma and taste. Above average bitterness.

joeneugs (5486) - Livermore, California, USA - MAR 1, 2016
On tap at the brewery. It pours a clear golden yellow color with a white head. The aroma is very potent with grassy, onion, garlic and earthy hop notes. The flavor is a bit different up front with some light honey, orange and mint with the garlic and onion thing in the background and in the finish with the rather strong bitterness. Pretty light bodied for such a big beer though. Warming as it goes down. Clean. Ok, but I didn’t really care for the hop character.

Sledutah (6897) - Utah, USA - SEP 19, 2015
22oz bottle picked up at Bevmo in Redlands
Pours clear golden with a medium sized white head, some lacing. Aroma is floral and pine resin. Taste is floral, pine resin and bitter citrus
Very good, I like this. The alcohols are well hidden for 11.2%.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 15/20
alexsdad06 (8737) - Ohio, USA - JUL 28, 2015
22 oz. bottle from Bine and Vine shared with drsordr. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma had earthy, resiny, hops, onion, some faded hop character that translated into some buttery toffee notes. The flavor had a more pronounced hop character, spicy hops, resin, earth, onion, caramel, sweet offsets some of the bitter, buttery toffee, decent body, hides the abv pretty well, moderate bitterness to the finish.

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 16/20
drsordr (2239) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - JUL 25, 2015
Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pours avg gold with moderate white head. Nose sweeter malt, some dank, maybe a hint of vegetal but not unpleasant. Taste fleeting sweetness followed by strong bitter. Some floral and strong spicy hop. Mid palate moderate to strong bitter continues through finish. The sweet helps balance the almost astringent bitter. Late palate dank. Nice mouth feel.

   AROMA 9/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 10/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 18/20
Ibrew2or3 (8040) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUL 8, 2015
22oz bomber pours with a clear pure gold body that supports a thin near white head. The inviting aroma offers up firm pulsing hoppy spicy onion dankness that is scratching a long overdue itch. Behind the bristling onion dankness lie slivers of citrus hops and then booze to remind you of the wide large ABV. Oh my! The taste unloads piles and piles of dank spicy onion hops that have robust levels of both bitter and flavor hoppiness with a pleasing supportive sweet malty base as well as thin juicy citrus hops. This brew is deep and rich and simply begs for further sips with only mild booziness that only hints at the big abv. I have come to love the dank hop spectrum and I think this beer is that spectrum’s king. All hale the king. I need to seek out more of this.

BOLTZ7555 (3014) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAR 7, 2015
On tap @ Public House Temecula. Bright tangerine with a small ivory crown. Slightly alcoholic in taste but definitely feel the high ABV in the belly. Lots of citrus notes accompanied by residual sugars. Aggressive for sure...but still unique and enjoyable!

kaser (5502) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 21, 2014
This is a massive beer. 22oz bottle poured at home. Clear orange with sticky and foamy white head. A fruit bomb. Tons of floral aroma and taste. Grapefruity, apple, lime, and hoppy as hell. Light bitterness for a strong hoppy brew. Boozy, but not in a bad way. I likey.

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 17/20
bhensonb (13850) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 28, 2014
Bomber from CraftShack. Looks orange in dim light, but gold in bright light. Transient white head. Aroma is fruit, but there’s a lot of confusion. Med + body. Flavor starts quite hoppy, shows some caramel support, but then it’s like solvent. Not in a totally bad way. Just that the heavy ABV doesn’t seem to work well with the massive amount of hop. With time passing on the palate adjusts. It gets even more incredibly hoppy, develops some juicy fruitiness, and all the heat is down the gullet. Maybe this is what happens when hopping goes beyond dank. Everyone who gave this a rating below 3.6 should think about going again and taking it slow. Or aging a couple decades and losing some nasal capabilities. :) Side note: burps good Second side note: rating is affected by initial take, but I tried to correct to the way it’s finishing. As the alcohol takes hold, it gets better for sure.
