Poured from a bottle, San Diego. TREMENDOUS aroma, extremely sweet chocolate aroma, reminiscent of Italian chocolate liqueur candies or something, not sure how else to describe it. This beer smells like the luxuriant aroma of a $150,000 BMW supercar, nice and malty. Flavor doesn’t hold up, just a flat stout with hints of chocolate and coffee.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Opaque black color, huge fluffy off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, lightly milk chocolate, lightly (Dutch) "hopjesvla". Taste malts, again milk chocolate and hopjesvla (which I hate) and decently bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Meh.

Bomber: Taster: Beige brown head. Black beer. Aroma of dog food, choco malts, nuts and some coffee and chocolate tints. Flavour is malt roast, chocolate, coffee, nuts, bitters... Aftertaste is dry, roasty, coffee and chocolate with a nutty edge... Fully carbonated which causes a foamy overlead in your mouth... Good medium bodied.

Donker bruin bier met een gigantische beige schuim kraag. Ruikt pinda, noten, chocolade. Smaakt hazelnoot, cacao, chocolade, geroosterd, bitter. Enorm veel carbo.

I’m a fan of stouts and of coffee, and definitely coffee stouts. I also dig beers like rogue hazelnut brown, but this is a stout with flavored coffee. Flavored coffee is bad, mkay? The cloying burnt hazelnut aroma and flavor is way too much. You can barely taste coffee or stout. Too strong on the aftertaste too.

Overall real good just a tad cloying sweet on palate. Poured black with brown tinge to it big tan head. Aroma of cocoa and fennel taste of same with some pleated malt character. Finish taste is great but somewhat sweet.
