650 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a murky dark brown color with a medium khaki head head that has fair retention. The aroma is strong with coffee, chocolate, hazelnut and mocha. The taste is similar to the aroma with the hazelnut really standing out. The coffees are similarly rich and strong and there is a bitter walnut hop presence. Most surprising to me is a lack of any real sweetness, just lots of roasted goodness. The palate is full and smooth with soft carbonation. Finishes long and dry with lingering coffee grounds. Overall: First rate stout, very tasty. This is only my second beer from this brewery and so far i have been impressed by them.

pours a black-dark brown with a two finger tan head which fades to very nice lacing. Aroma is of hazelnut coffee, roasted malts, caramel, and milk coco. Taste is of roasted malts, hazelnut coffee, coco, molasses, caramel, and some walnuts. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, roasty, moderate finish. Overall, a tasty, sessionable stout, that makes nice use of hazelnut coffee

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2015 Draught. Lingering sandy head like foam on a coffee / root beer float. Nose and taste are same: rich chocolate, nut and roast coffee ice cream pie with fudge icing and graham cracker crust. Taste is sweet like the best ice cream - an enhancer not the end to a marshmallow means. This is the reserve ice cream for adults. Bitter chocolate and bitter coffee or good bitter roast finish masterfully balances the recipe. Palate is smooth but filling enough for the best small, big coffee beer lover to nurse this alluringly libidinously decadent profligate pie of a 6% beer. Overall, rather roasty.

On tap. Dark brown with a creamy light brown head. Sweet chocolate, caramel, hazelnut coffee aroma and taste with a dry earthy bitter finish and lingering roasted grain notes. Creamy palate. Pretty good.

Great label screen on this 220z bomb : That aroma! That beautiful, coffee aroma! Look, I love this thing! I think many, who are not coffee / espresso freaks, may experience problems with this stout. Perhaps a little more dry that I was expecting, but I’m enjoying it, and I don’t mind the considerable acidity. Glad to try!

Bottle from Thieves Liquor in National City: Poured a dark blackish brown color topped with a frothy topping of head which eventually flat lined. Aroma is bold with roast nuts and malts and reminds me of macadamia nuts and coffee together. This beer really does smell amazing. As for the flavor, it falls a little short, although, it does deliver some sweet malt with a bitterness of cheap coffee. Also has a notice of black licorice.

Tap at Ironfire. Pours a clear deep brune. Sheets of thick lacing. Nose starts with green coffee, a tad vegetal, moving thankfully to rich hazelnut, some intense decadent chocolate mousse. Taste is heavy hazelnut, vanilla, chocolate, jalapeno heat. Palate is bitter, long finish. Solid stuff. BA version was getting insane for the abv.
