650 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a murky dark brown color with a medium khaki head head that has fair retention. The aroma is strong with coffee, chocolate, hazelnut and mocha. The taste is similar to the aroma with the hazelnut really standing out. The coffees are similarly rich and strong and there is a bitter walnut hop presence. Most surprising to me is a lack of any real sweetness, just lots of roasted goodness. The palate is full and smooth with soft carbonation. Finishes long and dry with lingering coffee grounds. Overall: First rate stout, very tasty. This is only my second beer from this brewery and so far i have been impressed by them.

Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Rich roasted malts and fresh coffee, mild-moderate sweetness, faint vanilla, and low bitterness. Good stuff; quite drinkable.

On tap @ Beer temple. Small sample. The aroma has strong hazulnuts, chocolate, smooth coffee. Black coloured beer with a beautiful medium, brown head. The taste is light bitter, has moderate sweetness, chocolate, hazelnuts, coffee. Very creamy, velvety mouthfeel. Nice one, but the hazelnuts are a bit too overpowering for me.

Draft at beertemple. Black pour. Nice aroma of hazelnut, roasted malt and creamy choco. Rich taste of creamy hazelnut, coffee, roasted malt and a bitter finish. Very nice.

650ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Sweet-ish, nuttily and chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of white coffee, vanilla, a touch of roasted nuts. Taste is dry, nuttily, slightly roasty dark malty, hints of roasted nuts, white coffee, a touch of vanilla. Stops right before reaching the artificial marshmallow and hundreds and thousands regions.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a very dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is very sweet with huge vanilla and chocolate ice cream. The flavor has a little burnt marshmallow, vanilla and dark chocolate. Lots of burnt character here. Maybe some graham cracker too. Like an overdone smores, only not as sweet. The bitterness and roast mingle and last in the finish. Moutjfeel is medium and fairly creamy. Decent.

From the bottle at a beer tasting swim party. One of the best of the night. Lots of roasted and nutty flavors on this black pour.

Poured from a bottle, San Diego. TREMENDOUS aroma, extremely sweet chocolate aroma, reminiscent of Italian chocolate liqueur candies or something, not sure how else to describe it. This beer smells like the luxuriant aroma of a $150,000 BMW supercar, nice and malty. Flavor doesn’t hold up, just a flat stout with hints of chocolate and coffee.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Opaque black color, huge fluffy off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, lightly milk chocolate, lightly (Dutch) "hopjesvla". Taste malts, again milk chocolate and hopjesvla (which I hate) and decently bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Meh.

Bottle @ joes. Black colour with a huge beige head. Smells blueberry, chocolate, roasty, sweet. Tastes roasty, chocolate, coffee, toffee. Quite nice. Soft to medium carbo, medium to full body.

Bomber: Taster: Beige brown head. Black beer. Aroma of dog food, choco malts, nuts and some coffee and chocolate tints. Flavour is malt roast, chocolate, coffee, nuts, bitters... Aftertaste is dry, roasty, coffee and chocolate with a nutty edge... Fully carbonated which causes a foamy overlead in your mouth... Good medium bodied.
