3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Drank this from the can at the Sting Ray Farm on Grand Cayman. Served way too cold. Malty sweet nose. Non descript sweet malt flavor up front. Not very complex. Some fruity esters. Complimentary. Semisweet finish. Hardly any bitterness. Not a bad beer for boosting while on vacation. And I got to play with the turtles.

Very nice when cool (can & tap). Best Carb brew yet. Roasted flavour hides the alcohol nicely.

12 oz bottle at Paradise restaurant on Grand Cayman. Pours medium brown, decent tan head. Definitely tasting the munich malt, a pretty decent dunkel.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tap, can, and bottle (separate occasions). Per the brewery all 3 are 7% abv. Tap - thin head, vague hint of roasted malt, otherwise little flavor. No hop presence detected. Bottle - bigger head, otherwise similar to tap. (Bottles are currently only available at the brewery, but label identifies a Florida importer so distribution to the US is apparently planned.) Can - best if poured into a glass. In the can this beer must be consumed quickly and while cold; once it warms up there’s a powerful metallic and bitter finish. Not great but overall an improvement over other Caribbean brews.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the brewery, on January 25, 2012
Clear amber color, off-white head. Malty, cream taste. Some alcohol aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Sweet scent.
My fav of the 4 beers we tasted, when it comes to a review of the beer. For drinkability though, for me, it didn’t really suit the weather and temperature (very hot and sunny) we experienced this day. Would work better in Swedish winter ;)

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
tap at Tiki bar at the Georgetown Port-pours deep copper hue with a small smooth silky tan head (almost looks like a nitro poor) very tight bubbles. nose of amber malts, lite grains, and lite caramel bread. flavors of toasted grains, lite caramel, malt husks, and lite chocolate. This is a very decent brew-even though it has dark malts, its VERY easy to pound a few of these on the ocean. I had two and was very pleased. wow 7.5%? its nowhere to be found. a very solid beer from this brewery.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
In can; aroma somewhat sweet with a cocoa note. Color was lighter than I expected’ very brown, not very black/dark at all. Taste was a little lighter in body than I expected with a dry cocoa texture and bitter (almost espresso like) finish. Overall, not as good as german bocks but given I was sitting on the beach, I liked the lighter body this beer had.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cans and draft. Pours clear medium-brown with a thin white head. Nice malty aroma and taste. The sunsets at the beach may have influenced my score but this was way better than the usual island-style lagers I’m usually stuck drinking in the Caribbean.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draught: Poured a rich dark brown with a light reddish tint to the edges, the head is off white. Aroma was very sweet malt. The taste was gritty with roasted malt, finish was a lot harsher then I had expect.
