Pours dark amber with a minimal head. It’s a bit on the bitter side, but otherwise it’s a fair dunkel.

troull88 (68) - GREECE - SEP 28, 2012
Caramel and roasted aroma. Pours clear dark red-amber with minimum frothy white-brown head that leaves a lace. Tastes light sweet, medium sour, watery with light bitter abrupt finish. Body is light and texture is thin. Carbonation is average. Overall, its an interesting beer that would be better if not watery tasted.

Bottle. Pours clear dark brown with an average, frothy off-white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is cookie and nutty malt, spicy hops and a clean lager character. Flavor is malt dominant, light hops and bitterness, and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Rubyish brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is mild roasted malts, some slight chocolate, mild ashes and raisins as well. Flavour is quite similar with the roasted notes coming in quite well. Smooth palate and quite bodied beer, which makes it rather drinkable.

Bottle 50cl. Unfiltered dark brew with ebony coloured foam. Coffee and bitterchocolate taste, malty and grainy. Quaffable. Wonderful Irsee yeast strain. Complex. Odd Bottle. Great.
