OldMrCrow (1877) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 22, 2007
Bottle purchased in Berlin.

Pours a cloudy amber with a small head and a mild aroma of dusty hay and peanut shells. Flavor of honeydew melon with a whisper of lemon, and dry grass in a field, faint pepper and almost something like rye yielding to a reasonable hop bitterness for the close. Sparkling mouthfeel.

Overall quite enjoyable, beautifully crafted, and definitely thirst-quenching, but not a beer that one would seek out for excitement’s sake.

Bottle. Light unclear light amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, grain, dust. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration and a nice dry finish. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (061007)

Golden color and clear. Has a big, lasting head. Don’t like the aroma, odd, dusty, flour. Flavor is ok, starts a bit sweet and finish is to the bitter side.

Dedollewaitor (14045) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 30, 2007
Cloudy gold with solid white head. Malty grainy & fruity aroma. Medium bodied. Light sweetness but very well balanced with some bitter hops. Crisp & nice. Soft mouthfeel & good lacings! Nice! Truly enjoyable!

A cloudy amber color. The aroma seems a little sweet and sour. It has a bittery sour taste. Not the best unfiltered beer but has potential.

Embrouille (2829) - SWITZERLAND - JUN 8, 2007
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2008 Bottled 50cl. An unfiltered beer with a beautiful pale amber color. Nice malty aromas of black chocolate, cellar, bread and peaches. A very organic touch to the nose of this beer. Some grainy aromas. Smooth taste, some very nice bitterness. Lots of fruitiness, peaches, dominating melon, some banana. A very interesting taste. Some notes of honey. I really like the melon-like elements of this beer. It does taste of cellar (Keller in german) too... Nice mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Slightly oily. Dry malty finish. Additional comment: Hazy light amber beer with a quick diminishing head. The aroma: Cellar, cheese, mushrooms, lemon and lime. Malty taste. Notes mushrooms, elderberries and lime. Mediocre lacing. Musty. Slightly salty. Some crackers and apricots showing up in the finish which is dry and salty. An interesting brew which makes you thirsty.

Maria (10176) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 8, 2007
Warm golden, hazy with a nice head. The aroma has notes of hops and sweetness. The flavour is quite full-bodied with a nice bitterness balance by a light sweetness with notes of caramel and fruit. The finish is dry and slightly bitter with a hint of licorice. Unusual and nice.

Thanks to Poperinge and MartinT. Big white head. Dark amber. Sticky caramel apple nose. Light caramel - smooth body. Flavour king of boring. The nose held more interest.

Malty vanilla like which I believe comes from the yeast and interesting lager that I would like to try on tap sometime. Thanks Martin for this beer. Page 261 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and only 194 of his 500 Classic Brews to go.
