(Bottle, Monk’s Café Sveavägen, Stockholm) Pale amber colour, hazy, with brief frothy off-white head. Malty, slightly spicy nose with notes of toast and hints of apricots. Malty, slightly spicy taste with toasty malt, apricots, orange peel and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, mainly dry but some sweetness comes through. Well balanced and quite nice.

KyotoLefty (7855) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 3, 2010
Bottle. Fruity, citrus, estery aroma with cereals, melon. Cloudy orange color. Rather sour flavor with citrus, decent malty sweetness. Great sour edge balances well, as does the earthy bitter finish. Yeasty and rich. Great and original.

[bottle] Strangely fruity aroma with some banana and something that resembles pine cleaner, but not like pine from US hops, also a little sweet caramel. Hazy gold under a white cover. Estery flavour that has a little banana and significant green apple. The fruits dissipate to reveal a mild caramel sweetness that lacks any bittering balance. Light to medium body, silky, moderate carbonation. Quaffable.

Compliments of SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a clear golden yellow color. Aromas of grass, cheerios, and a touch of flowers. Flavor is kinda sweet to start, citrusy finish with some hop notes.

JoeinDahlem (1378) - Berlin, Berlin, GERMANY - MAR 26, 2010
Hazy orange-gold with a white head that disperses. Pleasant fruity nose, yeasty orange esters, with some sweetish cereals. Well-rounded taste, light impression of sweetness, mild bitterness and faint bready tartness... all rolled together and harmonious. Aftertaste a bit too clean. Highly drinkable, tasty, and fairly interesting.

Muggus69 (1553) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - FEB 10, 2010
Pale gold body, white foam. Skunky honeyish malt on the nose. Medium bod, moderate carbonation, bit creaminess. Honey, pilsner cereal malts, hint of floral hop. Not bad.

The bottle looks very old and a bit complex. The beer in the glass fine turbid, creamy head. Starts strong, malty-yeasty, quite sourish. Finish shows woody and grasy notes, still strong, well balanced. Good beer!

Der Kloster-Urtrunk, ist ein Bier mit natürlicher Haltbarkeit. Also ca. 6 Monate haltbar. Also immer schön langsam geniesen
