Cask conditioned handpump Coach & Horses Wellingborough. A ruby coloured beer with a loose whitish head. The aroma was a bit tart with fruity berries. Overwhelmingly malty rather than hoppy. Very astringently bitter in the mouth although got a bit bready towards the end. I hope this wasn’t 100%

Cask-conditioned at the Royal Oak, Bath 5/10/08. Cooper colour with next to no head. Aroma of red fruit with a touch of caramel. Full, slightly vinous mouth feel, with a sweetish malt flavour and earthily bitter finish. Ok.
