3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask (handpump) at National Winter Ales Festival, Manchester on 19 January 2012. Amber colour. Modest condition. Proclaims itself as a Scottish style ale (let’s no go there) but it has a fair ration of tangy hops on the palate. A touch of chewy caramel, and more of that on the nose, but it doesn’t get too sticky. Firm, relatively dry mouthfeel. Decent tasty stuff.
