Very dark mahogony brown with a good tan head and lacing.
Good strong nose for a mild, decent pinch of roast malt, light coffee tones, some nutiness.
Tastes of light roast malt, iron, minerals, light coffee, touch of toffee.
Medium bodied but in no way thin, smooth drinking with fine carbonation leading to a roasted finish. Excellent on the palate, a very good mild.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Cask at the Duchess of Cambridge, London. Pours clear brown with gold highlights with a fine, filmy white head. Almost no aroma, just some weak, dark grapes. Light sweet flavor with some faintly tangy dark malts, faint dark fruits and nothing else. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Bland finish, not very sweet, just some more grapes and tangy dark malts. Really nothing good here. It’s a pretty bad beer.
