bottle, September 2011 date. with a vigorous pour its bright acid and hard must prick the nose. mild apple flesh / pulp, much more skin and malic / lactic acid. heavily tart, medium high bitterness, high dryness, lengthy bitter peel finish.

A - Straw color. Pretty intense haze. Light carbonation

S - Alright smell. Up front apple scent, candy and burnt sugar. Quite a Pheno smell going on.

T - Yeah...funky old cheese? Goat cheese? apples, bananas. Slight cardboard. Still not bad. Loving the tart mouth drying finish

M - 35% carbonation. Light body. dry finish

O - Itís alright. Not bad. Quite pleasant but not bad.

Has a clear a urine-bayed presentation and no visible head. Smells sour and bittersweet with nothing really coming to mid. Tastes of expensive applesauce, blue cheese, goat milk, white wine dregs, mushrooms and sunflower stems. This beer is definitely better than people have been writing about it lately. Funkier than any other cider Iíve ever consumed. Quite the experience.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear yellow gold with no head. The aroma is cheese and funk. Thin mouthfeel with a tart and bandaid flavor. Not much going on with this one.

Pours a hazy pale yellow with very little thin white head. Aroma is funky and leathery...mild tartness and acidic citrus...super faint sulfur but not bad. Flavor has great barnyard funkiness...some soury acidic lemon. Mouthfeel is very light and the finish lingers with nice mild funkiness.

(bottle) Pours out a semi-hazed light yellow color with pretty lively carbonation. Aroma is predominately funky green apple, faintly candy-like with a passing resemblance to green apple jolly-rancher. Thereís also a salty, briny scent of green olive which is light in comparison to the apple scents. Wood showing up too. Taste is pretty straightforward, with plenty of tart green apple showing up and throughout the finish. A little candy-like particularly upfront. The finish really dries out and yields a good amount of oak. Overall I havenít had many ciders, but I found this one to be very enjoyable, and Iíd definitely purchase this again.

Very tart excellent flavor no sweetness almost as tho it is fermented w Brett clear pale yellow as per ciderage... Needs a bit more carbonation...

Pours slightly hazy pale straw color with no head. Musty apple aroma. Sour green apple flavor thatís a little earthy. Quite tart. Medium body with no carbonation.
