Like a lambic crossed with an electrical fire. The most phenolic beverage I have ever tasted.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 18/20
Corked bottle from your mother. Thanks!
Pours an average orange with an aroma of apples and spring air. Flavor is barnyard apple and attic must with leather accents. Freakiní nice. Watery mouthfeel but who cares. This cider rocks. The best sour-that-isnít-supposed-to-be-a-sour Iíve ever had. AWESOME. Iíll buy more.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
375 ml bottle. Teresaís. Pours a slightly cloudy dark gold body with a few big bubbles of head that quickly disappeared. The nose is pretty great. Apple skins, a little caramel apple, some light funkiness. It smells very natural. Flavor is just lightly tart, a little pucker, but not crazy. Like biting into crisp green apple kind of tartness. Really bright and rather crisp. Mouthfeel is very dry, especially on the finish. Nice soft gentle carbonation, a little more than I expected, but it helps bring out the tartness better. Very very solid stuff.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Apple and pear nose, fresh and clean, with a kiss of lime. Clear yellow with a very slight greenish hue. Soft on the palate. Flavor is very distinctly lime, but just shy of being as tart as the unsweetened real thing. Still very tart though. Pear notes are in the background. Medicinal antiseptic overtones. I often find this in the so-called higher quality ciders, but to me it tastes like an infection. Certainly very unique, somewhat enjoyable if you are acclimated to sour ales and ciders. Without the bandaid quality, I could probably get into it.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Nose is strong -- apple, vinegar, lactic/cheese notes, not much sweetness in the aroma. Pours a cloudy yellow. Dry as a bone, crisp, but with an odd, cardboardy edge -- wonder if this bottle is corked slightly? Not enough apple in it; itís pretty one-dimensional. Faint nutmeg/clove on the finish. At best, mediocre.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Picked this up based on an article on lambicandwildale.com that billed it as "a drink that lambic drinkers might enjoy". Poured at a height of 6", only a small pour into the glass at a time (recommended traditional method for Basque cider). First pour was bright gold, the last was pastel yellow, murky with a bit of sediment. A few juice-like bubbles, appear and rapidly fade. Aroma is heavy on sterile gauze and horsehair from the Brettanomyces, not the best. Orchard apples and wet hay. Taste is softly tart apple, with some spiciness in the back, very dry finish, no residual sweetness. Virtually still like unblended lambic. Fairly quenching, not especially complex, but worth a try.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle dated 2008. Pours with a fleeting head and very mild carbonation. the cider is basically clear and is pale yellow, haziness appears as the bottle progresses and eventually the cider becomes basically still. The aroma is very similar to the funkiness of an old bottle of Orval featuring some farmyard funkiness and a good limestone basement character. There are some fleeting fruit notes most notably strawberry and tart apple rind. The flavor is dry and displays a fair amount of sourness bordering on puckering. There is some fruit rind both of citrus and apple along with a tart apple flavor all around. Strawberry shows up in the flavor as well and is very welcome here indeed.
