3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted many times over the past couple of years, this is one of my favorite ciders. This bottle came from Midtown. Pours hazy dark yellow with no head. The nose is more sour apple than anything else, but there is a bit of tart lemon and it definitely has some funky yeast to it. The flavor is the same, very dry with some tannic structure, green apple, tart lemon, with a ton of funky barnyard and cheesy yeast. The body is light with a bit of carbonation and a long funky tart apple finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs; thanks Ferris). Looks solid; a slightly hazy gold with very fine sediment and white lacing that dissipates quickly and completely. Smells semi-tart and appley. Tastes like it smells with what seems like a bit of oak and tannins as well. More tart; some lemon too. Pleasantly tart and semi-dry with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. A tasty and complex cider.

375ml greed corked bottle. Yellow pout with floaties. Carbonation is light, dry, nice sourness and tartness, lots of lemon, medicinal character, earth, herbs, apple skins. Got this as a freebie and as they say free shit is good but damn this is a new favorite.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at CiderWISE, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Nose is very funky and cedary, with a dry apple backing. Flavour is quite complex, with farmhouse funk, earthy notes and a wonderful dryness. Barely any apple notes. Complex and well-balanced. Very nice stuff.

bottle shared by tom10101, thanks! second day of tasting. ouch. opening smoothly though. pours hazy if not cloudy extra pale yellow with a disappearing whtie rind. granny smiths, musty brettiness, unripened apples or with their sugars subtracted, if at all possible, subtle floral and citrusy notes, light astringency. light carbonation, light body - slightly watery, dry bretty and slightly herbal finish. simple yet quaffable and enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by tom10101, thanks! Pours a clear yellow with no head. Nose is a bit wild with some recognizable brett/wild yeast. It doesn’t smell of apple much, more like the usual brett leather. Taste is lightly acidic and more close to the traditional hard cider I’m used to but also offers some yeast flavors. Body is light, carbonation is moderate and it is really refreshing. Overall a nice sidra, glad I could finally sample some!
