3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Definite pungent hop aroma, which I wasn’t expecting. Almost like straight hop pellets. Not really any other smell. Smokey dark brown, almost golden brown, very hazy, but very clear as well. Decent head and good retention, good lacing. Thinnish on the palate, but the hops do linger. Pretty fine tasting beer, but it really is just hops and enogh malt to make it look good, a bit thin for my liking, but it isn’t offensive at all.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle. Pours a clear amber brown with an averae sandy coloured head showing weak retention. Aroma of weak caramel and plastic. Flavour is weak caramel that is completely overwhelmed by nasty plastic/bandaid nastiness. Couldn’t finish it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear brown with a cream colored head. Hoppy aroma for a brown. Citrus, grapefruit, some orange, light caramel malts, but they are there, and chocolate. Thinnish body, but not bad. Flavor has a stronger caramel malt note than the aroma implies. Citrus hops, toasted malt, and some grapefruit. Very bitter finish. I really like this beer but isn’t what I expect from a brown. Still, I drank gallons of this at the Isekadoya Nomihodai. Great stuff.

Thanks Presario. A rice beer with brown malts. Pours grapefruit colour with lotsa white head. A distinct barnyard, but not much of that in the taste. Leaves a lot of lace, the carbonation is there and it is drinkable this beer. Not a ot of mouthfeel.

50cl bottle. Slight gusher out of the bottle, that yields giant, rocky beige head atop cloudy chestnut brown body. Aroma is medium sweet, sour cherry/wood, some lemon. Taste is medium sweet, nut, some cherry/sour, caramel, light chocolate, herbal/grassy. Light-medium body, light effervescence. Infected for sure, but fortunate to get Brett or something similar.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Rich foam on dark amber. Tiny carbonation bubbles that would make Molson proud. Dusty hop aroma implies something other than a standard Brown Ale. Light malt base. Dusty musty light airy beer with a rising sinus clearing hop presence.

50clBott@ Mondial de la Biere Strasbourg.
Cheesy hoppy nose. Disappointing.
Light brown in color, more amber than brown. Plastic taste, harsh hops. Thin mouthfeel. Long unpleasant finish

Draught at McLaughlin’s, Kyoto. Clear brown - offwhite head. Nice hoppy, grass, resin, nutty, roasted, fresh hoppy, toasted, knækbrød (swedish flatbread). A bit like Mikkeller - Jackie Brown. Lovely.

This was considerably better then the triple hop beer. Pours a hazy brownish amber with once again an enormous fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet and floral with a nice yeasty character. The flavor starts off with a nice tart fruitiness and a good hop bitterness, along the line there are notes of apples and nuts. This has a pretty awesome flavor. One of the better browns I’ve had.
