COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2008 The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Darker than exspected. Tastes strong, "bocky", modest malty, not very sweet. Well balanced finish. Really good!

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

50cl bottle, BBE 06/2012. Poured dark brown with a decent beige head. Aroma was grain and hay, slightly roasted. Flavor similar, some caramel notes as well as bread. Finish is long, with caramel lingering. Medium bodied. Average dunkel.

Bottled 50cl. Ordered from www.bierzwerg.de. Hay is very present throughout. Bready. The hops just contribute to the bitterness. Boring and without major flaws.

Swing-top by 28.03.12. Nose is very sweet caramel with a touch of cocoa, airy. Dark ruby with a fizzy, noisy tan head. Taste is sweet with healthy roast, mocha and cocoa, and a little ash toward the end. Light body and a little thin on the malt complexity. Too sweet, and edging into an aspartame feel, but OK. Addendum: I originally awarded this a 2.6, but good lords, by the last ounce it had turned into ambrosia! A three ought to balance it out.

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 12, 2011
Test vom 13.12.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,6,7,8,14,6 - 6,85

A very good beer, This reachness of flavour and aroma. I love this Bockish background and stronger malt, caramel nose. A bit too weak (only 5,9%) but meets my expectations. Body is full, Carbonation medium, finish long.

Botella. Clear dark brown colour. Roasty malty and bready sweet aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet and malty with caramel, bread, dark fruits and some spice. Nice.
