Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber with white head. Sweetish, malty beer with a slug of toffee flavour, but this was in a good way, sharp fruitiness, greengage, treacle, late dryness. Very decent.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 scotty (957) - SCOTLAND - NOV 4, 2012
Nice copper coloured brew, white head lasts well. Smooth and malty, less hoppy than I expected, but a good satisfying brew! Spoons beer festival.

Pint at The Counting House (’spoons) in Glasgow. Slightly hazy orange amber body, with a white head. Grassy aroma, floral and citrus flavour with pleasant nutty depth. Slightly sticky palate. Don’t know if I would fancy a session, but a perfectly acceptable refresher. Went well with fish chips and mushy peas.

Cask, gravity dispensed, at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Pale amber with a ring of translucent head; floral aroma; delicate floral flavour, with a gentle grassy bitterness; and some sweetness towards the finish.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 downender (5185) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2013
Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol, November 2012. Cooper in colour, with a slight, off-white head. Malty and yeasty bitter with some redeeming citrus fruit sweetness and decent, bitter finish.

Cask conditioned handpump Eastgate Northampton 01/11/12 An amber coloured beer with a whitish head. Full of Burton snatch in nose with nowt else. It’s in the mouth too but it’s joined there by a pleasant fruity hoppiness. Some real sweet fruitiness in this which is pretty characterful and tasty. I quite liked this.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 kwik-lime (866) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2012
Cask at JDW in Kingston. Nice balanced, surprisingly dry hops, a little peppery with some nut in the finish. Decent beer.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 harrisoni (10909) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2012
Cask handpull at County Hotel Spoons Ashford. Clear mid brown colour thick head. Must be quite fresh as wasnt on 24 hours ago. Yeasty aroma. If you told me this was a regular Marstons bitter I would agree. Burton snatch upfront. With some sweet malt. I mean its a competent midlands bitter. Decnt condition. Drinkable if you like a burton snatch. About average. It just goes to prove the adage that all beers are pale ales. Some bitterness on finish

Cask conditioned at the Ralph Fitz Randal (JDW), York. Thin white head. Gold body. Sulphur and grain. Bittersweet. Dry finish. Was actually concerned that I’d be served Pedigree by mistake, and then I realised this was brewed at Marston’s.
