3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Aurelius (3147) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 18, 2006
Great British ale aroma - toasted sugars, slight western hop citrusity. Mostly dry, at times presenting as being rather bitter, but then it backs off. Peat-tangy and tannic. The western hops are just enough to give it a different twist. Aftertaste is a tangy starchiness. Slightly dark amber, flocculent thin head. Label needs work, good UK pint bottle. Thanks to my boss for bringing this back to Florida from a CAMRA festival.

Bottled. A hazy amber coloured beer with a rocky white head. The aroma at first has jammy fruits, but then piney and spicy hops kick in. More hops and berry fruits in the taste. An interesting mix of hop flavours. A nice skillful beer.
