Bottle from The Scottish Real Ale Shop. Mild spicy malty aroma. Dark brown colour, not much head. Slightly sour rancid straw flavour. Toasty aftertaste. Not great. Somewhere between a bitter & an old ale.

Bottle from Scottish Real Ale shop. Dark brown colour, large foamy head. Nose is yeasty, caramel, fruits. Flavour is soft malty, fruity, caramel and a bit yeasty. Soft finish. Pretty ok.

tan/brown and dark enough you can barely see through it
thick foamy head and lots of bubbles
yeasty burnt malt smell
not as fizzy in my mouth as i anticipated based on bubbles
med/ful body and a little tart/acidic
i’d like this more if it wasn’t bottle conditioned.
good body but yeast get in the way of complexity

Dark copper with a big off-white head. Fruity aroma with malt and caramel. Dry and malty flavour with fruity notes

Dark brown with a thick rocky head. Quite toasty aroma, light chocolate. Chocolate and slightly toasty palate, with some diacetyl accent, evidenced mainly in a slight slick note on the tongue.

Pours copper with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, fruit and alcohol. Flavour is malt, fruit and light hop.

Bottle. Warm brown with red hue. The aroma has diacetyl and is very buttery. The palate is soft. Toffee, custard, and brown bread flavors but also sweet and buttery. I think it’s not in great condition, this bottle. Had at a bar in Bowmore town.

Bottle @ Papsø-Grand-Tasting, September 2010. Pours cloudy ruby amber with a creamy lasting head. Nose is citrus hops. Medium bodied. Dry flavor with a hoppy touch. Dry short end.

Bottle at Papsø’s - Thanks. Clear brown - white head. NIce but light botterness, nutty, fruity, high malty, sweetness, berries, citrus, orange, light grassy, light wooden - hoppy.
