Bottled (from AbM, old backlog). Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, some herbal and mild melted rubbery notes as well. Flavour is wooden, floral, fruity, resiny and some quite dry earthiness.

50cl bottle from the Scottish Real Ale shop. Appearance - golden orange with a soft fluffy head. Nose - burnt orange and orange pith. Taste - more sharp orange flavours against a crunchy malt background. Palate - close to medium bodied with a crunchy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a bit too challenging to be easy to drink but it does have an enjoyable aspect.

Clear, pure amber colored. Fully fading white head. A nice touch of citrus fruity hops to the nose. Weak generic malt aroma. Light body. Taste is hop driven. Zesty, grassy and light resinous. Some dryish lighthly toasted malts in the backbone. A pretty good quecher. [Bottle at Lochindaal Hotel, Port Charlotte, Isle of Islay, Scotland. 02.09.13]

Aroma: light malts, some floral hops. Appearance: clear gold, small white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: bitters intensify, light carbonation, some hints of malt coming up, quite bitter in the long finish. Overall: nice Golden Ale, nothing too remarkable though, no presence of "single malts". Pint at Craft Beer Rising festival, London.

Bottle from Islay Ales. It pours golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is citrus, earth, dough and wet leaf. The taste is pleasantly bitter, straw, pithy citrus, soap, earth, dough, spice and light metal with a very dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent enough bitter golden ale.

Bottle. Golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate malty and lightly sweetish aroma, faint tropical fruitiness and light citrus hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and dryish flavor, faint tropical fruitiness, some grassy hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and dry, grassy – some citrus hoppyness. OK dry and well hopped golden ale – in the finish hoppyness gets bit sharp/soapy.

500ml bottle on Islay May 2012. Hazy, golden coloured with, medium white head. Fruity, hoppy and woody aroma. Sweet malt, yeast and hint of whisky in taste. Medium body and soft carbonation. Best Islay ale in my opinion.
