Tasted this at the Troon Beer Festival in October 2008. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale copper in colour with a thin white head. Slight eggy aroma with hints of sweet toffee in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a digestive biscuit base with sweet toffee notes laced through. Flinty taste of harsh hop resins give a sharp bitter aftertaste which lasts through. Finish is bitter with metallic notes strong in the palate. An ok bitter but nothing special going on.
