Cask-conditioned at the Hillgrove Porter Stores, Bristol 25/11/2011. Deep gold with a slight, off-white head. Sweet, caramel aroma with a touch of roastiness. Flavour had cereal malts, some red fruit and dryish finish. Ok.

Cask at the Bricklayers Arms, Putney, 5th Oct 09. Rich deep amber colour with some lacey head. Light malt aroma. Very rich flavour, dominated by the malt with the hops only providing some late dryness. Some smokiness too. A good best bitter.
