Sweet fruity and malt with yeast. Maybe a little hay. Medium gold colour with thin lacy white head. Rich light body thin. Bannana peal, straw, grainy, light fruit and butter. Strong bread feel with a bitter finish. Leaves the palate a little sour. Enjoyable but a little plain.

Gravicask (Bishops Stortford BF2011)
Messed up aroma. Messed up taste. Eggy. Finish quite nice and grainy. But that doesn’t make up for the earlier horrors. Vegetal.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 niquillis (428) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 3, 2011

1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 EdKing (946) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2011
Described as a ’lager style ale’. Pours cloudy yellow like a white beer. Not sure it is supposed to be this kind of clarity. Taste is strange. Has a dry burnt and charcoal bitterness which is really unpleasant. Had exactly the same taste in a bottle of the IPA I bought from different shops, which was much stronger, so this is more drinkable. Not sure if this is a purposeful flavour or a batch that didn’t go quite right. If it’s intentional then I really can’t get my head around it.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 rosenbergh (3495) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 11, 2011
Cask at Turf Tavern, Oxford, England.
Pale golden colour.
Aroma is very weak. Some hints of fruits and earth.
Flavour is mild hops, earth, nuts and wood.
Quite dull and stale I’m afraid.
This didn’t rock my boat.

Cask handpull, The Green Dragon, Lincoln. Orange gold with a thin white film. Mineral creaminess, rub of dog, slightly Scottish catbiscuit and vegetal malt; soapy dried apricot, pinch of salt, hay. Can’t believe me and the previous rater have both picked up on the dog. Odd but decent.

[3156-20100724] Cask. Earthen poop and mild wet dog aroma. Slightly hazy, medium orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Malty grainy poop and dirty earth flavour. Medium body. Weird characteristics.

@ Hop Pole, Bath. Light golden colour. Very slight hop spice - almost a Sprite accent too. There’s a strange burnt match sulphur character. The sulphur/smoke component is somewhat acceptable, but doesn’t really integrate with anything else about this beer.
