Light bitter taste with an excellent honey nute in palate. White and thin foam stays for 90 seconds. Dark-caramel, somewhat blacky colour. Really good beer, worth trying!

Bottle @ tasting, shared by jmgreenuk. Pours a clear reddish brown beer with a thin off white head on top. Aroma of caramel, molasses, red fruits and roasted malts. Flavor is quite thin, light caramel sweetness and some very faint sourness in the background. Short aftertaste and very easy drinkable. Classic example of the style. Porter 101. Very cool label btw!

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is light creamy caramel initially with some malt and liqourice. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth malt cream hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Very smooth and lots going on. I really liked this.

Bottled; I didnt get too much "roast oatmeal and honey" more realistic flavours of dark malt .toffee. earth . rich malt ..Actually a bit of sweet honey in the finish so ok.

Dark mostly clear brown with some bubbles and very small tan head. Aroma rich roasted malts, faint molasses. Light body. Lightly carbonated. Flavor is off dry with toasty malt, and I could buy oats in there but not really getting any honey beyond the faint sweetness. Still, a lot of flavor for a pretty light beer.

Bottle on the train from Inverness to Hereford, from Tomlinsons bottle shop, 21/10/13. Dark mahogony brown with a moderate light tan covering. Nose is cardboard, dark malt, earthy, toffee, papery, light fruits. Taste comprises toffee, light tarte fruits, biscuit, hint of cocoa. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light roast in a drying climax. So so porter.

Red-brown, with a tall, frothy light tan head. Dark fruit, molasses aroma. Roasty, coffee, oats, light malt. Lingering honey sweetness. Nice, but just too thin.

Pours an opaque coca cola colour with a disappearing white head. Strong roast malt aroma, oatmeal in the taste. A tad watery though.

Bottle, black, hint of dark ruby, skim head. Aroma of molasses, taste of treacle, mild bitterness, somewhat sweet - rather pleasant.
