Radek Kliber (3278), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 6, 2008 Bottle at Smokeless Joe 500 ml ?
Appearance: Clear , dark brown ale with medium creamy top. Nose :Clean , aromatic nose , frontal hops with darker hints of brown malts.6+ Flavor/Palate : Tart , rusty feel up front with light , smoky character. Not bad but it becomes fairly plain and flat as you drink some more.
Retorp (2148), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 19, 2008 A sort of low key porter, but it is nice. Molasses, toasted malt, caramel and light roast in both flavor and aroma. A touch thin, but it has a comforting overall feel to it that I find very enjoyable and repeatable. The flavor lingers with cooked molasses notes. Very solid. Clear medium to dark amber brown color with a average to large, creamy, good lancing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, light burnt - peat, honey notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (180508) scotty (727), Scotland Jun 28, 2008 Looks good, thin head but its lasting well. Lovely nose, an intruiging mix of dried fruit, malt, coffee, spice and dark chocolate. Medium-full bodied, smooth and malty, the fruit and spice put in a appearance on the palate too. The finish goes on & on.... Crackin’ beer. Tesco.
