Clear amber colored with a foamy tan head. Mild creamy caramel and fruit aroma with yeasty notes. Sweet malty flavor with a bitter finish. Lots of fruit and some yeast. Rather strange harsh citrusy finish. Medium bodied.

Gravity, Reading Beer Festival. As we were perched on the end of a table in the Celtic tent, I had a little period of exploring the Celtic beers. It was around this point that Gazza and his wonderful partner joined us, and a miserable time was had by all as we settled into a Celtic gloom, balancing on the end of a bench amid the noise and the cold and the bloody Morris dancers! Aren’t festivals fun? Anyway, this is an amber premium bitter. Fairly sod (did I write that>) average example of a bitterly hopped premium bitter. Not much of interest. Diacetyl aroma.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 SimonPatrice (312) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 10, 2003
Amber/copper color, not much head. Really "mature" aroma slightly "barleywinesque" Caramel, ripe fruits (figs?) malt comes out strong after a while. Big and malty with some dark berries and of good edge of hops. It really tastes and sells like a light barleywine to me.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Linc (736) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUN 6, 2003
Full, malty and herbacious. Clean, fresh malt flavour with very leafy hops. A little bit watery but still good.

Amber coloured, slightly hazy. Fruity and malty, but also very sweet. SUgary finish. Flavourful, but too sweet for my taste buds.
