Amber/copper color, not much head. Really "mature" aroma slightly "barleywinesque" Caramel, ripe fruits (figs?) malt comes out strong after a while. Big and malty with some dark berries and of good edge of hops. It really tastes and sells like a light barleywine to me.

Bottled. Fairly robust, the kind of ESB whose head lingers longer than the average. Clean cut, slightly sweet, decent stuff.

Bottled. Amber beer with a lightly dry, caramel and roasted aroma, and a smooth well hopped flavour. Overall a good drink.

Orangey brown with some fruitiness.Plenty of body and one I would certainly try again.Yet another example of a good beer from a Scotish micro.

Cask Handpump at the Smithfield Hotel, Manchester 06/05/2002 Golden amber coloured and slightly pale. Some sour fruit flavours. Hint of bitterness in a hop finish.

Full, malty and herbacious. Clean, fresh malt flavour with very leafy hops. A little bit watery but still good.

Cask ... somewhere in edinburgh ... amber ... light hop nose ... sweet toffee drying bitter fruit hop ... little grapefruit in long lasting linger.

Cask @ Henglers Circus, JDW. Hazy dark goolden colour, off-white medium creamy head. Nose of sour fruits, a bit malty. Flavour is sour fruits, malts, bit yeasty, floral. Slightly sour and dry finish. Refreshing.

Bottled (50 cl) at Café 3 små rum, Göteborg, Sweden. Clear golden, medium white head. Fruity aroma with some herbal and floral hops. Medium bitterness. Very drinkable.

Bronze in colour with a small white head. Aromas are caramel and biscuit malts with spicy pine and melon. Flavours are fruity melon with caramel and spicy hops. The finish is dry with a fruity tang. Mellow and OK.
