Deep amber colour with an off white head. Light roasted malty aroma with fruit and alcohol notes. Malty, dark fruit sweet flavor with a light coffee note.

Pours a light brown color with a nice white head. Aroma is sweet and missing the malts. Taste is sweet and chocolaty. Im disappointed with this brew.

Lighter brown color, thick white head. Lighter than I expected. Not really too malty as I would have expected from this beer. Taste is sweet and full of chocolate. Plenty of malts help keep it inside the style, but other than that, this is a pretty weak effort at a decent scotch ale.

Bottle of "Wee Beast" ... Mine poured 100% foam before it slowly settled into a still very dark, burnt copper beer. Suspected an infection, but besides the uneven pour there’s no evidence of it. The aroma is of cooked caramel. The beer is slippery and flat-felling with a sour apple, yeast and malt flavor.

Pours cloudy brown with thin light tan head. Aroma of caramel and dates with a good strong flavor... not bold, but good nonetheless.

Bottle from the old indoor market in Derby. Big brown appearence, thin but consistant head. Quite caramelly in the nose, dryish taste, but a nice full flavour. Satifying finish. Very good for a strong Scotish Ale. Nice lable too (different to the the one over there <----

Pours with a bold copper body and a tall and resilient rocky head. The aroma bops with sweet but earthy malts. The flavor brings a sweet fruit-beady-ness, some date, red apple, persimmon and ideas of toffee and burnt sugars, which a placid smokiness to the finish. The palate is velvety, I like the texture… but the finish is rustic and kind of raw in flavor…

Bottled..Bronze with no carbonisation. Some maltiness with a slight bitterness. Nothing else to say about this one-pretty bland really.
