I drank the wee beast version with the lovely majestic goddess....no cullin beast. None the less, golden not red (quite a surprise) malty nose with toffee/acholo flavor. Quite a nice drink....wierd label issues...

Absolutely HUGE head from the pour. At least 4 to 1 ratio. Light tan in color and settles slowly. Slightly smokey and peaty aroma with a bit of roasted grains. Color is a cloudy dark orange. Flavor is smokey and metalic with more dry roasted grains. Little grainy palate with a bitter finish. Not very chewey at all. Smoke is more like an ash tray than a mild flavoring. Not a good brew and definately NOT a scotch ale worth mentioning. Hell, I am not sure if I would clasify this as a scotch ale.

Very rich, persistent head. Orange coloured. Quite sweet. Taste of dried exotic fruits. Orangey aftertaste.

Nose is peanuts, lemon, grass, clay, plasticy chocolate, green apple. Gold/ruby body. Flavor has nuts, light malt - barley toasted. Tart dry finish. Mediocre at best.

In the 500 ml bottle labeled "Wee Beast." Pours a bright amber with an avalanche of ecru-colored foam for a head. In a 1 L glass, this filled entirely with foam. Large carbonation bubbles. Suggestive of overcarbonation due to slight lack of attenuation. Either that or it has been over-primed for bottling purposes. Interesting hoppy aroma: pine nutsand caramel. Rich malty palate with consistent boiling hops throughout the drink. Delightfully richer as it warms to room temperature.

Highly filtered amber, much paler than expected, but the head does look pretty big and wonderfully coating the glass. Oaty and bready nose with a very spicy aspect to it, kind of herbal and earthy, biting and at times reminiscent of ginger or sage. Quite dry on the palate, once again a surprise. Malt richness feels a bit limited, mostly biscuity and orange-like. More yeast character than most. Pretty smooth palate finishing with a bite of astringency that doesn’t really disturb. Finishes a bit short, malty and dry.
