Malty, nutty flavor with a somewhat vinous feeling. Maybe a little thin to be this strong, but this is a good ale. rickgordon (3296), Göteborg, Sweden

Clear dark copper colour. Soft malty nose, with notes of toffee and light chocolate, subtle but very pleasant. Alcohol is subtle as well. Flavour is a little smokey(rubber feel?), has a rich smooth maltiness along with a little caramel. A pleasant bitterness finishes this very nice Scotch Ale. Jedsbrew (465), Rhineland, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jan 19, 2005 Slightly hazy orange/amber color with a moderate head that left good rings. Sort of an apple cider aroma with touch of hops. Light bodied, dryish, and a little fruity-strawberries, with a delicate malt/hop balance and quick finish. Decent tasting beer but not particularly my idea of a Scottish ale. ante (2928), Stockholm, Sweden
