Flavors are a bloody mess. Soured laundry entry and rancid walnuts in the aftertaste. This bottle was purchased at the dusty store on Kendall Drive (Neighborhood Quick Stop). If the bottle isn’t off, the beer sure is. zebracakes (1214), Washington DC, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2007 Bottled in US as Wee Beast. Pours a cloudy orange-amber. Thin dissipating head that clings slightly to the sides. Aroma of roasted malts, orange peel, grass. Creamy but slightly tart mouthfeel. Sweet bread taste, toasted hops, peat, soap, and lingering, gently bitter hops. This beer is well crafted, worth a try, but for all the care that clearly went into making it, it is rather plain. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 20, 2007 Cask in the Bon Accord. Aroma is spicey,, grassy hops, yeasty, sweet and cloying. Taste is similar dark fruits coming through, too sweet with just raw grassy bittering hops. As usual the scottish brewer makes a beer which is a gimmick which must then sell, rather than looking at what the market wants. maeib (4711), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
