| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 14, 2007 500ml bottle - Pours hazy light amber with a one finger, long lasting head that leaves good lacing. The aroma is mainly caramel malt and some alcohol. The flavor is malt with toffee characteristics. The mild hops give it a nice balance and come through more strongly in the finish. Medium bodied, but a little watery, this brew is certainly enjoyable, though I’m still not convinced it’s worth the seven bucks the local pub charges. It is good though. porterhouse (1152), Alna, Maine, USA

Aroma of fairly rich toffee/caramel. Mouthfeel quite soft and smooth, pretty sticky. Flavor is rather smoky with some peatiness (not apparent from the aroma), along with mildly sweet caramel/toffee. A pinch of bitterness creeps into finish. Pretty good. pivnizub (5002), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
