A red brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with some weird notes of hops. The flavor is malty with notes of berries and roasted bread before a dry hoppy end sets in. A fine tasting beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very unclear amber golden with a small, off-white head. Aromas of overripe fruit. Medium body with a very low carbonation. Flavours also of overripe fruit, wood noble rot and a sherry like edge. Some hops in the finish. Very British and very fascinating. 251106

Bottled. Deep orangeish amber colour with mediumsized off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, some hops, a bit leathery notes as well as slightly grassy and fruity notes as well. Flavour is leathery, honeyish, sweet malty as well as some mild toffeeish notes and mild spices. Alcohol is rather wellhidden, but gives a slight warming touch.

Bottled. Dark orange and hazy. Big toffee aroma. Really full bodied. Lovely maltiness and filling mouthfeel. Balanced sweetness and loads of chocolate flavour - the finish as all chocolate. Low bitterness. A truly outstanding Scottish ale!

Amber color. Interesting malt profile, between a Barley Wine and an IPA, with a long palate.

Dark amber, hazy. Strong malt character. A little caramel note. Arguably more of an English Strong that a Scotch Ale, but I doubt I’d try to argue that point on the Isle of Skye.
