Jan 3, 2006 500 ml bottle purchased somewhere on my Dec 2005 midwest trip. Pours quite a murky light amber-gold with a ridiculous head; thought infection for a second but there was no gushing...head dies down fast to leave faint lacing and a fine coating on the body....nose surprisingly citrusy at first, then sweet and caramelly, with an undercurrent of grassy sharpness...body is quite sweet, just a touch lactic and sour, mildly hoppy, with a faint smoky/woody character that is just not pronounced enough....malt is on the light side, and citric acidity doesn’t fit to my mind, body needs more fullness and depth....fairly bitter and dry at the finish, carbonation is a bit too high. Fairly mediocre for the style though reasonably drinkable.

Dec 18, 2004 medium amber color, white head. aroma is slightly spicy and malty as a mofo. flavor is essentially the same, mostly sweet with some caramel qualities and even a bit of dryness in the finish.

Apr 21, 2005 Mine was labelled as "Wee Beast" with a picture of a lady on the label. It’s kind of a hazy amber color with very little head and some lacing. Sweet and smoke malty aroma. Taste is thinner bodied, smoky caramel, nuts, earthy; minimal hop finish. Almost tastes watered down.

Jun 10, 2005 Deep golden in color with a small white head. Aroma of mild alcohol and bread. Flavor of rich malt,sweet,nutty,breadysherry,molasses and caramel.

Jul 15, 2004 A red brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with some weird notes of hops. The flavor is malty with notes of berries and roasted bread before a dry hoppy end sets in. A fine tasting beer.

Aug 18, 2004 Ok beer. Hazy yellow in color, that is not clear. Bready flavor and Sweet too. Very bready and sour aftertaste. Not apealling at all.

Nov 12, 2004 Strong aroma of syrup and caramel. The mouthfeel is rather thin at first, then it subsides to more malt feel that is too sweet for its own good. It could use some heartier malt or a bit more hops to balance it out some. A respectable beer nonetheless.

Aug 13, 2004 On cask. Very full bodied and fruity malt in the mouth leading to a dry finish. Not too bad at all!
