Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in April 2000. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Slight citric tang of lemon peel in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt base gives a digestive biscuit note with tart kiwi and gooseberry flavours noted. Dry dusty hop resins give a slightly astringent aftertaste. Finish is slightly malty with citric fruit still present right through to the end. An ok session Golden Ale.

Bottle. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head. Vinegar like aroma. Tastes sour, vinegar, some malt. I couldn’t finish this, maybe it was infected or something. Horrible indeed.

Sample from a 5 litre keg that was opened for the occation. Big thanks to my fellow homebrewer Lars Helge.
Same appearance as before. More ripe and living aroma containing honey and yeasty notes. No sweetness left and distinctly acidic to the edge of sourness. Heavy bitterness that lasts and lasts. smooth to swallow.
