Cask @ JDW Elgin
Golden yellow....clear...white head...reasonable lacing
Aroma - sweet light malts..slight metallic smell
Taste - sweet malts..sour..some vegetal notes..bitter bit metallic hops...bit of honey...bit of creaminess....flavour way below average - not good at all
Palate - soft carb...smooth texture. Finish as main flavour...lingering metallic bitterness
The only good thing about this beer is it’s appearance. Didn’t finish my 1/2 pint. I just didn’t like it at all.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - JAN 31, 2012
Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in April 2000. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Slight citric tang of lemon peel in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt base gives a digestive biscuit note with tart kiwi and gooseberry flavours noted. Dry dusty hop resins give a slightly astringent aftertaste. Finish is slightly malty with citric fruit still present right through to the end. An ok session Golden Ale.
