Bottle. The liquid is clear; the colour is red-brown with a tint of wine-red. The foam is beige, two fingers thick but not very stable.

The (rather mild) smell got notes of brown sugar, tobacco, raisins and a gentle sourishness. It is not as bitter as I had expected, and it reminded me more of an ale from cask than from bottle.

The carbonation is peculiar for fine ales – not to sharp, not stale.

The taste is somewhat roasted with a dry, rather mild body. There is some diacetyl and a hint of salt. The bitterness is rather simple and a bit metallic. The rather short aftertaste is medium bitter with a dry-sour-metallic bitterness and a perfumed touch of brown sugar (although it is not very sweet).

A little unbalanced, but nevertheless a good beer.

An amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is dry hoppy combined with notes of caramel, while the body is thin.
