Kingdom of Fife Beer Festival Pours a red colour with an offwhite rocky head. Head lasts fully and laces fairly well. Slight malty smell, with moderate hopping. Some yeast. Definate scent of banana there, some light alcohol smell. Tastes moderately bitter, some light sweetness in the finish. Medium bodied, dry aftertaste.

Bottle from Regional in Wellington. Poured a copper red with a firm white head. Malty aroma of sweet toffee with a touch of orange. Not much up front, but some more sweet biscuit malt throuh the middle with a thin watery middle. A slight warming of alcohol leaves a pleasant finish but not inspiring. I won’t exacty be queing up for another.

Cask (gravity dispense), Battersea Beer Festival. Nice reddish copper colour. Plenty of dry malt throughout provides decent backbone. Some earthy hops. But its all a bit restrained. Decent but a tad dull.

Cask@Battersea Beer festival. Nutty malts and citric hops, thats about it, quite pleasant, if a little on the thin side, quite drinkable.

Cask conditioned, gravity at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. Russet colour with thin white head. Quite good red fruit, some hop, yeasty in mouth and on finish. OK Scottish beer with some gingerish spice

Dark amber bear, clear with a massive, lasting head. A roasted malt aroma with a touch of sweetness. The flavour was masked at first by excessive fizziness, but came through pleasantly malty at the end with a touch of bitterness too. Not bad.

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, clear, dark amber with a creamy, off-white head leaving some lacework. Malty, roasted aroma. Rather dry and malty with a wee touch of smoke. Dry finish without any real bitterness. 051105

comes in the spoon quite often but this was actually a bottle my father bought. It is far better from cask, but as i remember its always a little bland anyway as it was from the bottle, goes down well though and has a decent appearance on cask.
