Cask@Battersea Beer festival. Nutty malts and citric hops, thats about it, quite pleasant, if a little on the thin side, quite drinkable.

Cask conditioned, gravity at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. Russet colour with thin white head. Quite good red fruit, some hop, yeasty in mouth and on finish. OK Scottish beer with some gingerish spice

Dark amber bear, clear with a massive, lasting head. A roasted malt aroma with a touch of sweetness. The flavour was masked at first by excessive fizziness, but came through pleasantly malty at the end with a touch of bitterness too. Not bad.

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, clear, dark amber with a creamy, off-white head leaving some lacework. Malty, roasted aroma. Rather dry and malty with a wee touch of smoke. Dry finish without any real bitterness. 051105

comes in the spoon quite often but this was actually a bottle my father bought. It is far better from cask, but as i remember its always a little bland anyway as it was from the bottle, goes down well though and has a decent appearance on cask.

Red/brown, nice head. Aroma from hops, cocoa and sweet fruit. Coffee and cocoa flavor, some bitterness in the finish.

Looks good, typical I suppose, good white head...can just pick out some malt on the nose, and pretty much the same for the flavour...poor stuff overall, can’t believe I paid £2.35/bottle for this (Teviot Smokery, between Kelso & Jedburgh)

Tasted 26/06/2005. 500ml bottle from Regional’s, Wellington. Copper red. Off-white, disappearing, lacey head. Rich sweet aroma of malt, oranges, plums and dried fruit. A little, whiskey-like, peaty smokiness. Sweet malt flavour is cut through by a surprising woody bitterness. Clean finish. Mouthfeel is med-light; a touch tingley and watery. A pretty nice drop but this one promised more than it ended up delivering.

Cask, Wetherspoons Edinburgh: Clear Amber medium head, mild hoppiness & malty nose. Slightly crisp aftertaste with a hint of sweetness. A decent session beer but it lacks body.
