Cask, Cafe Royal, Edinburgh. Hazy orange with a creamyish white head. Some summer fruit and hop in the aroma. Sweetish flavour with some hoppiness and a dryish bitter finish which doesn’t hang about. Decent enough thirst slaker but nothing to write home aboot.

Cask (Pub at the Pier, Uig): Deep golden coloured, smaller stable head; grassy, aromatic hops in the nose; quite dry bitter flavour, light bodied; lingering dry bitter-aromatic finish. Spicy, pleasant thirst-quencher............

Good, a little hopy for the colour but in general, a drinkable beer. The foam was good, and settles fast.
