On tap @ Thomson’s Bar. Pours amber with a decent head. The nose is malty, creamy but quite elusive. The taste is of caramel and resin. The palate is medium bodied and textured but slightly cloying. Overall, so so!

Enticing freshly crushed hop nose from what appears a pale, stagnant white headed dull yellow ale. Deceptively foamy head caps off most of the initially keen, greeny refreshment that tumbles onto the palate thereafter. Clean finish that isnt shouting anything beyond the young malt medley

Cask by handpump at Last Post for Battle of the Brewers between Ayr, Isle of Skye and Kelburn (25 Feb 12) - mild floral aroma with clear small off-white head, refreshing with mild fruity flavour, good session beer

First tasted this in Coanes, Johnstone in July 1996. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear gold in colour with a thick shaving foam white head. Slight hint of Robinsons lemon barley in the short aroma. Thin watery mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a digestive biscuit base with lemon peel evident. Dusty hop resins give a sharp bitter tang to the dry aftertaste. Finish is again dry with citric fruit present in the booming flavour. A decent session bitter for hot summer days.

[cask at the Cumberland, Edinburgh] Copper coloured beer with a decent white head. Aroma of fruity malt and weetabix. Quite herbal and malty on the finish, but the main flavours are decent enough. Not much going on into that finish, however [20012012]

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a light golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma is a little sour and quite earthy with lemon, barley and yeast characters. Similar flavours with barley, lemon, lime and caramel. Tart finish. A little thin with mild carbonation.

Cask (handpump) @ Halfway House, 24 Fleshmarket Close, Edinburgh, Scotland EH1 1BX.

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, sour fruit, overriped pineapple - fruit, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, citrus - vinegar notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20101031]

Cask. Amber sort of pint. Bit of toffee on the nose, yet somewhat sharp and lactic. Medium lean body, low carbonation. Flavour is a bit odd; nice malt malts with a bit of herbal hop and an odd sharp bitter lingering finish. Not so sure about this one.
