BückDich (4497), Boise, Idaho, USA May 13, 2008 Bottle: Fairly clear gold color, nice white head and a little lacing. The nose is lightly skunky with a bit of yeast, light snappy hops and pilsner malt. The yeast is very light, almost like they used pacman yeast, comes across like a spicy pilsner. The flavor is estery though with bright acidity and alcohol notes. Good balanced body, a bit sharp in the mouthfeel. Nice toastiness, brash esters and alcohol. Like good bread with bad crust.
anders37 (2506), Malmö, Sweden Jul 26, 2008 Draught @ Issaquah Brew House. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Fruity malty and slightly yeasty spicy aroma. Has a fruity malty spicy flavor with some hints of yeast and hops. Fruity yeasty spicy finish. Angeloregon (1549), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 11, 2008 Thanks to Dave at By the Bottle for sharing this cellared beer. Poured a rich hazy orange body that seemed to glow. Sweet, tart, and fruity. Nice hops and spiciness. Yeasty esters with a nice astringent, crisp, mildly sour finish. Yum! Ungstrup (10863), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 3, 2008 Draft at Rogue Public House, Astoria. An unclear orangey beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, yeast, malt, and fruit, leading to a dry and slightly alcoholic finish. Cornfield (4254), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Jun 12, 2008 750 ml bottle: Clear golden bodied with a rapidly diminishing head, this has a sweet fruity aroma backed by sweet grainy malts, soapy yeast, and a whiff of alcohol. A light touch of sourness is added to the flavor and the taste of alcohol increases. There’s a light grassy bitterness that emerges near the finish. This is okay, but definitely not worth the price. My first & last.

Dogbrick (2166), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jun 3, 2008 Sample at Alan’s HSC initation. Bottle from Jungle Jim’s. This beer pours a mostly clear yellow-gold color with a minimal white head that is gone quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is sweet with notes of yeast and wheat, plus some tart fruit and spice. Medium-bodied with flavors of wheat, sweet honey and sour apple. Yeast is present at times as well. The finish is mildly spiced with a wheaty aftertaste. Decent overall, but honestly not worth the extravagant packaging.
