Extremely sweet and fruity with a surprising piney finish. Tons of grapefruit and berries. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle from aprox 2007 deep golden color no head caramels soft and sweet aroma and flavor. Smooth almost buttery palette especially as it warmed a bit. Easy on the Belgian spice notes but smooth and soft. Probably from the long aging in my garage fridge.

Draught at Rogue Ales - Brewer’s on the Bay. From notes. Clear and sharp. Belgian-style stuff. Lots of candi sugar. Yeasty and spicy. Like a sharper, spicier version of Duvel? I get the feeling that this one is a lot better fresh than in bottles.

On tap, pours a golden yellow color with hardly any head and no lacing. Smells of Belgian yeast, spices, banana, dough. Tastes of all the same things in the nose. Mouthfeel is medium with hardly any carbonation. Just an average Belgian tripel here, kind of disappointed by the appearance and mouthfeel. Everything else was good though.

On draught at Rogue Headquarters in Newport. Triples are my favorite style, and this did not disappoint. Great clove taste and sweetness.

750 ml green bottle. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, almost tart like green apples. The taste is sweet, almost has a sourness. Clove, pepper, and a cloying sweetness. I am trying my best to be nice but this is disgusting. How can a brewer bottle this? Life is too short to drink anymore of this.

Draught @ Rogue Ales Public House, San Framcisco. Rated on 17.10.2012.
Pours a hazy bright yellow colour with a small head. Aroma of caramel, sweet orange and some yeastiness. Flavour is rather smooth with caramel, orange, lemon zest, yeast and subtle honey notes. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel with a warming fruity finish. Good.

Bottle, 11C. Gold with an inch of white head that never quite disappears. Aroma of lemon, flowers, plenty of candi sugar, slight dough and herbs. Immensely sweet with cloves and pepper at the end. Grew on me a bit as the shock of the sweetness wore off - there’s some slightly astringent pineapple, pears, apricot and dough in there too but it all gets monstered - "huge amount" of candi sugar indeed. But the alcohol is not raw and the mouthfeel’s pleasant enough. Some interesting things going on, but far too sweet for me for this sort of thing.

Seems more like a wheat beer gone awry. This is one mess of a Triple. Taste is of the mentioned aromas with tart apple skin, bubble gum...just really overkill on the esters with not a whole lot of anything else going on. Cloyingly sweet. Nasty. I’m done with Rogue...they’ve burned me one too many times.

Pours a clear gold with minimal head. Sweet candy like aroma typical of a Tripel. Sweet flavor with a strange aftertaste. Alcohol is very evident. A little rough and this one has been in the cellar a bit too.
