Pour out of 750 mL bottle, thanks Aaron for the pour! Pour is fizzy orange yellow, slightly hazy, thin to no white head. Aroma has notes of some grape, pear and slight peach notes, some off sugary candy notes with hints of bready and biscuity malts, no spice in there. Taste is some sweet candied fruits with pear and lots of grape notes, hints of some biscuity bread notes, getting to a touch of ethanol, finishing very sweet. Eh.

It’s a Belgian triple, and fits the style OK. I feel it could have a bit more flavor and aroma for a Belgian beer, but overall not bad. Nothing specific to critique.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle @ Dan’s house. Not much head when poured. Clear, golden orange appearance with a small white head. Very tangy, orange fruity, bready yeasty, richly fruity aroma. Slightly boozy, bready, almost cloying, sugary, orange citrusy flavor. Noticeable alcohol. Some oxidation which I guess isn’t too surprising, as this bottle is probably two years old. Not horrible but it was way too expensive for the quality.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Copper pour with a frothy white head. Sweet citrus and stone fruits on the nose with some bland yeast undertones. Some pepper and citrus in the taste, quite spicey. Bit boring but not bad

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sampled on draft at Smokin’ Joe’s this beer poured a medium yellow color with a large fluffy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was citric and a bit yeasty with a sugary undertone. The flavor was tart orange and lemon with a bit of butter and bread and touches of Sweettart candies , pepper and chalk. The finish was long, tart and dry with lingering sugar and citrus. Light body. Ok.

750ml bottle. Apricot coloured beer with a low lying white foam that disperses into floating islands of bubbles. Peach dominates the aroma, sweet. Fruit flavoured with a touch of alcohol that warms the throat and is smooth all the way down.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Liquid gold colored with a thick ring of head and vigorous upward flow of bubbles showcasing a lively body. Refined pepper yeastiness. Nice spicing, yet subdued and some tangyness. The body is of pepper yeast and Belgian Beer Crusts. Doughy and ancient.

Bottle, generously brought back from Washington by my friend Rachel. I think this is the last of the bottles she brought back for me. Pity. Pours clear orange, thick white head, lacing is spotty to good. Nose is abbey yeast, clean malt, light citrus touches, some spiciness,, definitely some bubblegum and lemon candy here too. Flavours are Soft and spicy, candy, lemon, barleymalt, hints of vanilla and toast here too, oddly enough. Not my favorite Tripel, but a passable way to spend the evening.
