3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle.... Hazy, light golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The complex nose is spicy and woodsy with lots of grain, coriander phenols and bread... lightly acidic. The flavor is woodsy with moderate pungency, lightly sweet with mild spiciness (coriander phenols). Medium to full-bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes grainy, tangy and dry.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Blind Tiger. Pale golden lightly hazy with a thick white head. Aroma is lightly spicy but with a distinct fruity apple/peach aroma as well. The flavour is lightly fruity with a honeyish sweetness and a bit of herbal character on the back. It’s way too sweet but the malts are fairly authentic. Lightly spicy. It’s okay.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to ilovedarkbeer. Pours with a large, foamy white head and a hazed yellow body. Good lacing. Aroma is alcohol first, with candi sugar, must, pear and pepper following. Taste is sweet with a bit of diacetyl, pear, and alcohol. Good tasting but very hot (alcohol forward). Light bubbles, alcohol on the palate and a dry mouthfeel. This vintage would be stellar with another 3 years of age on it.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle @ Dan’s house. Not much head when poured. Clear, golden orange appearance with a small white head. Very tangy, orange fruity, bready yeasty, richly fruity aroma. Slightly boozy, bready, almost cloying, sugary, orange citrusy flavor. Noticeable alcohol. Some oxidation which I guess isn’t too surprising, as this bottle is probably two years old. Not horrible but it was way too expensive for the quality.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very nice nose of burnt bananas, bread crust and sweet banana pudding. Sweet up front turning to salty and dry on the back - good hearty dry texture in the finish, with some light biting hops. Mellow yeast flavor present as well. Very good stuff.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from State Line. Turbid golden pour with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of funky bready malt, barnyardy hay, tart fruit, hops, and some unwashed female asscrack hints. The flavor was tart, fruity, funky yeasty, with bready malt and finishing hopcitrus. It got pretty tart at the end, approaching a sort of saison/lambic/tripel hybrid.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear, golden bronze with a nicely-lacing white head. Aroma of bready Belgian yeast and some sweet pale maltiness and coriander. Starts lightly pale malty and sweet with a nice balance of coriander spice and black peppery yeast. Exhibits pretty good balance and authenticity. A nice abbey tripel.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750mL bottle.. some of the hardest wax to get off with a cork beneath.. dirty liquid made its way through the cork onto the top, and the damn cork broke halfway out. Eventually I get this f*er in the glass.. poured nearly clear bright golden with a short cap of white head.. a few Rogue chunks of cork made it into the glass as well. The aroma picked up tart lighter fruit skins and a lovely dose of floral and grassy hops over honey and more fruit.. warmth brought out dirty white pepper and vanilla.. excellent nose! The flavor couldn’t quite hold up to the aroma, but it was still quite tasty.. tart light fruits and floral bitterness opened as expected, with biscuity malts joining semi-sweet honey on the middle.. earth and white peppery spice on the edges.. finished with the tasty spices over honey.. all of the elements came together well, but they didn’t pop like in the aroma. Medium-bodied with a sweet overall complexion on the palate.. nothing but tasty stuff here.. greatly exceeded my expectations!
