heavy (1490) - Split, - JUN 30, 2010
Straight from a 2 l plastic bottle, bought in a local mini store. Weak sourish corn aroma. Sweet cornflakes or egg malty and sourish corn flavor, boring and quite unpleasant. Sticky but still very thin in body resulting in very short watery finish leaving skunky aftertaste for some time. Unbalanced, crappy and as such definitely not enjoyable, rather hardly drinkable brew. As usually on new Croatian beers, now it came through my mind why, why, why again another boring pale lager?! We need something different not 30 same crappy macros!

Found cases of K-Plus Svijetlo Pivo on sale at an Ideas Supermarket in Belgrade. Hard to tell on the can where it is coming from, but has mentions to Pivovarna Laska. I’ll trust that this one is fiitting in as an allias here though I don’t see any mention of Croatian breweries. The beer, finally! Drinking it cold is perfectly tasty, Dry, sticky nose of grain which is undercutting the middle flavors. Tasty on all corners but nothing is refined, lots of angles here but it is a healthy beer. Spicy-dry finish is nothing but fun

big brown plastic bottle 2000ml. -From Plodine in Zagreb. Yellow/golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away fast, lots of small bubbles of carbonation, Butterscotch and corn in the nose. Weak malty, salty and stale corn taste with butterscotch notes. Bad but not so cheap beer. The price (2.20€) is the same as for Löwenbräu Original (same shape) with big difference; Löwenbräu is much better.

Marko (3161) - Split, CROATIA - JUL 14, 2010
2l bottle from a Feniks store in Split. Pale shiny yellow body, thick white head, persistent, held by huge streams of carbonation. Honeyish malt in the nose, some slightly salty herbal hops. Weak but not unpleasant. Taste... sligtly fruity maltiness, metal and salty, bitter hopiness. Very weak, boring and in the end it all boils down to slightly bitter and salty water. Not a good beer, though less stout individuals could probably profit from the price to get drunk. Still this is a REDUNDANT, USELESS beer, COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. BREW SOME OTHER STYLE - WE DIDN’T NEED MORE PALE LAGERS 5 YEARS AGO AND WE DEFINITELY DON’T NEED MORE NOW!
