COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & bottle conditioned - Occasional.
Originally brewed to commemorate the Battle of Cheriton 1644 re-enactment involving the parliamentarians & Royalists. Has reappeared to coincide with other events arranged by the Battle of Cheriton Project.
A bright golden ale, using Fuggles to create a soft rounded bitter with a hoppy taste & nose ideal for the summer.

Cask at The Market Porter, London Bridge 1 May 08. Golden colored. A small creamy head. Quite anonymous but some fruity hints. Some bitterness in the finish.

The Pommelers Rest Spoons, Tower Bridge. Clear gold beer, little white head. A little pale malt. Okay hops dominate the malt/ Minerally bitter tangerine - orange. Dry minerally finish. Decent and drinkable.

Cask at the Victoria Station JDW - one of three Itchen Valley beers available!. Amber with a thin cream head; sweet and fruity aroma; the taste is an interesting combination of sweet and sour orchard fruits - with crab apple sourness and pear drop sweetness; and the finish has a prolonged but light bitterness. Different and enjoyable.

Bottle. NOt bad, but a fairly standard bitter. Some grainy malt, and i would agree that it is a little biscuity, finishes with some earthy hops. Slightly citric, in the finish, pretty soft palate, and quite pleasant.
