Cask HP at The Railway, Putney. 3.8%. Clear orange, still, small scummy off-white head. Aroma is toned down but pissy, fruity mango Citra hops. Nice. Body is medium, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is buttery malts, straw, passionfruit, mango, musty finish, soft bitterness builds over time. Packs a decent punch for such a low ABV beer. Very good. In fairness, this brewery churns out solid beers.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. There is a light biscuity body to this, cereal malts, lightly roasted. The citra hop is present with a juicy, lemon like note. Easy on the palate, pleasant.

Cask. Clear yellow with a medium sized frothy white head. Candy, citrus, white bread, light candle wax. Light body, soft carbonation, light sweet, dry and light bitter finish. Mellow and easy going, but not thrilling.

Cask at the Edward Rayne, Rayne’s Park. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma sweet citra with a hint of sulphur. Short bitter finish. Ok.

A nice golden appearance, fruity aroma of grapefruit. Subtle hint of bitterness on the palate followed by a citrus aftertaste.

Cask-conditioned at the Grove, Ealing, 29/6/2014. Golden in colour with a decent, white, head. Easy drinking golden ale, with plenty of grapefruit and pineapple character, before a dryish finish. Good.

Cask at the Grove Ealing. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and heavy hoppy aroma. MOderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Nice.

Hand pulled cask at the Moon under Water (JDW) Leicester Square. Gold with a lively white head. Astringently bitter but far better than most beers that I’ve sampled from this brewery. Lacks balance and subtlety.

Theydon_Bois (13535) - Tourist Town (West), Berkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 14, 2012
Cask at the Sir John Oldcastle, Farringdon (JDW). Clear golden with a half finger of fluffy white head. Sweet hops and malt on the nose with some berry fruit. Faint lemon notes in the taste with a pinch of wheat and berry fruit - moderate bitterness. Light to medium bodied with a dry finish. Quite enjoyed this as the first beer of the day!

Cask at the Greyhound (JDW), Maidenhead. Not sure of the ABV here, the pump clip said 4.4%, the brewer’s web site says 4.0%, but has a picture of the pump clip showing 4.8%. Anyway, it’s a good showcase for the Citra hops. A brilliant amber pour with a loose white head; crassy aroma; light, grassy hop flavour over a dry fruity body; and a gentle but lasting bitterness to fins. Light and refreshing overall.
