Cask at The Anchor, Digbeth, Birmingham. Poured a hazy light golden amber with a thin broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is tropical fruit and I swear a little honey. The flavour is medium to light bitter with a smooth watery flowery spice hop palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. A super session ale. Lots going on.

This is nice beer. Aroma and taste come through nicely - light and hoppy. Pleasantly bitter. Just moved to Hampshire so trying out the local beers. This one is right up my street.

Cask at wetherspoons. Pours a clear gold colour with a thin head. Nothing happening in terms of aroma - maybe a bit of light malt. Light body, thin. A touch appley, with lemon and grapes - quite winey. Dry and nicely bitter. OK. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

cask@Holland Tringham JDW, Streatham, London - Pours a gold colour with small white head. Aroma of grass, slight hops grass, and mild malts. Not overly sure on this one, didn’t seem to be in that good condition, will maybe need a re-rate on this.

Cask at The White lion of Mortimer, Stroud Green. Mild citrus, pleasant and cool although would’ve preferred a much colder pint. Fairly pleasant session beer, but not enough flavour to get me buying another.

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence, 15/05/13. Very lightly hazed pale golden with a thin white head that clears to the edge and a film. Nose is pale malt, light grapefruit, grass, citrus. Taste comprises floral hop notes, pale malt, grass, light orange, citrus. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Ok stuff.

Cask-conditioned at the Black & Gold beer festival, the Gryphon, Bristol 2/9/2012. Deep gold with a slight, off-white head. Light, cereal malt and dusty hop aroma. Sweetish cereal malt flavours, with a touch of fruit and moderately bitter finish. Ok.

28th April 2012: half pint, cask in The Craft, London. Pale gold, clear and clean (lager-like): on top a thin coating of white foam. Next to no smell, slight citrus hop wafts maybe, but not much really, of anything. Thin and struggled to give off any strong flavours in the mouth: might be fine on a hot day after cutting the grass, but not on a cold, wet London evening in April. Didn’t float my boat at all, couldn’t even find the alcohol in the taste.

Cask handpull, The Blue Pig, Wolvey, 26/06/12. Thick-lacing, conditioned gold with a dense, stable foam. Heavily buttered, light rub of lemony hop aroma. Pint of honeyed, buttered biscuits basically; struggling to get through the butter- not diacetyl, just biscuitiness. OK but lacks hop.
