2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A golden beer with a nice off-white head. The aroma is rather hoppy, which also lends it notes of citrus. The flavor is boring; dry malty with a slightly dusty hoppy presence combined with hints of citrus.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask. Golden colour, minor white head. Aroma is fruity and zesty with some nice maltyness as well. Flavour is fruity and floral with some wooden notes as well as some nectary notes. Actually quite balanced and refreshing, flavourwise leaning almost to an APA.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask conditioned at The Bree Louise, London
Deep blond color. The aroma has some malt, caramel and sugar; light hop, lightly grassy and citrusy. Light malt flavor, semi-sweet mouthfeel, with a quite good hopping, a bit grassy and floreal. Side-to-side with the Skinner’s Cornish Knocker it’s not so characteristic and original, but not bad anyway.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
500ml bottle from Real Ale, Twickenham. I had this years ago on cask at the Market Porter and remembered liking it, so I decided to buy this when I saw it. Golden with thin white head. Lovely hop aroma of US fragrant hops. Slightly sweet in mouth and could do with a touch more roundness from the malt. Then beautiful US hop finish, all citrus and compelling. A tad too gassy

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, BBE june 2007. Bought at Kolding Vinhandel. Pours a slightly hazy deep yellow with a small fizzy white head. Aroma has a background of caramel and quite a lot of fruity hoppyness (Cascade). Low carbonation, and slightly creamy. Flavour is not as sweet as expected, the hops have a more pronounced character. There are citric, peppery and fruity tones in the quite dry hoppy finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at The Knights Templar, JDW, London. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a tight, foamy white head. Aroma holds doughy malts and light, lemony citrus. Light to medium sweet flavor, more doughy sugars, some mild straw bitterness, hints of citrus fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Sweet, lightly sticky finish, some white sugar, dough, white bread, dry hay. Very basic stuff. Nothing too wrong, but nothing too right.
